Social Media and the Web

The author's need to become known on social media and other Web sites is growing more essential every day. That point is emphasized in articles such as this one in the Washington Post
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/09/23/AR2009092304603.html.

Amazing that this author managed to sell so many books using all those devices like Marilyn Meredith recommends and a trailer she made like our publisher, Billie Johnson has done. It's also interesting that the article concludes with a statement about how these things may not work for you, but you don't know unless you put yourself out there and try!

Just because I enjoy the Rose Hall Great House tie to my first novel, Hearts Across Forever, I dredged up the back cover and added it here.

Happy writing,
Monti

Social media does work, though maybe not as much as we'd all like it too. But, if you aren't using it, you'll never know, will you?

Monti...did you see that Left Coast Crime is being held at the La Fonda in 2011?

We need to think about THIS!!!

For those might not know, the La Fonda is one of the 20 classic hotels in Monti's FABULOUS book, Hotels to Remember.

Monti: Thanks for noting the article. I think it is so true. Authors realy have to get out their and work to sell books. Now I'm off to work, selling "A Case of Infatuation"
